Objectif Energie Mission in Burkina Faso

Steeve, Melvin, Maxime and 5 other of their classmates are 11th grade students in a high school in Grenoble. During the summer of 2015, they spent 10 days in Burkina Faso installing electricity in a bush school. Yet installing solar panels and an electricity grid when one has never touched a tool in one’s life in no easy matter! Fortunately, they were accompanied by Energy Assistance, energy professionals who bring electricity to where it is most needed… Burkina Faso is one of the world’s poorest countries and 80% of the population have no access to electricity. For these young French kids, their first contact with Africa came as a quite a shock.
