“Après moi le bonheur”, feature film starring Alexandra Lamy, 07/03 on TF1

CAPA Drama has the pleasure of announcing the broadcast of “Après moi le Bonheur“, a feature for television by Nicolas Cuche, Monday 7 March 2016 at 9:55 PM on TF1..

A hard-hitting and poignant feature-length movie in which a mother suffering from cancer engages in a desperate battle for the right to choose the foster family in which her children can grow up together after her death.

This one-off TV movie was adapted from a true story, that of Marie-Laure Picat, published in book form in 2009 entitled “Le courage d’une mère”, a success which sold over 70,000 copies.

Alexandra Lamy, stunning in this “Mother Courage” role, stars alongside Zabou Breitman, Thierry Frémont, Jean-Michel Tinivelli, Julia Piaton and Cécile Rebboah.

VERSAILLES becomes the best performing original series of the past 2 years

All-round, the series has become the best-performing original creation for the past 2 years.

Indeed, VERSAILLES had the highest audience for the launch of an Original Creation since TUNNEL (November 2013) with almost 1 million subscribers (987,000) for a subscriber audience share of 19.2%.

Furthermore, in de-linearized distribution the series scored over 2.7 million downloads for the whole of the series over a 4-week download window.

In terms of overall success, over a 4-week period, it scored an average of 1.2 million contacts per episode, broadcast exclusively on CANAL+ and CANAL+ A LA DEMANDE (Pay Per View).

In addition, its international success has already been largely confirmed with the sale of VERSAILLES in 12 countries including the UK, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Poland, Bulgaria, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Canada.

VERSAILLES is the top selling series in box-set and digital and has been the leading end-of-year launch in its category.

The second season of VERSAILLES is now in the pipeline.

A performance which illustrates, more than ever, the passion of subscribers for big-budget original creations from CANAL+.

Interview with Jalil Lespert, director of the first two episodes of the Versailles series

Jalil Lespert, acteur et réalisateur nominé aux Césars, a réalisé les deux premiers épisodes de Versailles. Dans une interview vidéo exclusive, il nous fait part de sa vison de la série et de ses personnages.

Biographie :

Jalil Lespert débute sa carrière d’acteur avec Laurent Cantet qui le fait tourner en 1999 dans « Ressources Humaines » (César du meilleur espoir masculin). Jalil Lespert a une prédilection pour les rôles de composition : jardinier sensuel dans « Sade », culturiste dans « Vivre me tue », gigolo dans « Pas sur la bouche ».

Il tourne ensuite dans « Le promeneur du Champs de Mars », « Virgil », « Le Petit Lieutenant », « Ne le dis à personne » et « Le voyage en Arménie ».

Plus récemment il était à l’affiche de la série « Pigalle la nuit », puis des films « un baiser papillon », « Love and Bruises », « Landes », « De guerre lasse », et à la rentrée, de « premiers crus » de Jérôme Le Maire aux côtés de Gérard Lanvin.

En parallèle, Jalil Lespert se lance en 2007 dans la réalisation avec « 24 mesures ». Il adapte ensuite le roman d’Olivier Adam, « Des vents contraires », avec Audrey Tautou et Benoît Magimel. Enfin, il réalise le biopic « Yves Saint Laurent » (sept nominations aux Césars 2015) avec Pierre Niney et Guillaume Gallienne.
